Steam Deck Verified status
The official Divinum account announced Steam Deck Verified status on 23 August 2026, five days before launch. An earlier Steam discussion had the developer say the handheld was supported and that the game would be submitted for verification. The later official post closes that loop: this is a Verified title, not a community-only compatibility report.
Verified status is the strongest public answer available for basic launch, text, controller, and default-configuration compatibility. It does not promise a particular frame rate in every scene, battery life, or bug-free suspend behavior. Those questions still need reproducible player tests or official performance notes.
Controller and input support
Steam lists full controller support along with DualShock and DualSense support. Divinum is built around fast combat and is a natural gamepad fit. The store also lists a keyboard-only option, which matters for desktop play and for Deck owners using external input devices.
A separate developer reply clarifies mouse support. Combat actions can be rebound to mouse buttons, including extra buttons and the scroll wheel. Mouse cursor navigation in menus was not supported at the time of the reply. That distinction matters: "mouse support" is partly true for action bindings but not complete for menu navigation.
Steam Cloud is listed for the release build
Before launch, a player asked for cloud saves for Steam Deck use. The developer said Steam features such as cloud saves would be available on release. The current Steam store category list includes Steam Cloud, which is better evidence than the older promise alone.
Cloud support should let a save follow the same Steam account between a PC and Deck. It does not eliminate every synchronization risk. Let Steam finish syncing before switching devices, and do not dismiss a conflict dialog without checking which copy is newer.
Controller vibration is currently missing
Full controller support does not mean every controller feature is implemented. In a launch-day Steam thread, the developer confirmed that vibration was not implemented and was on the list for a future update. The player had asked specifically because Steam presented the controller as fully supported.
So a silent gamepad is not necessarily a hardware fault. At the evidence check date, there was no vibration to troubleshoot. A planned feature is not a shipped feature, and this page will keep that status separate until a patch note or current developer reply confirms the change.
What we know about performance
Verified status says the default experience meets Valve's compatibility checks. We have not found a reliable public benchmark covering frame pacing, watts, battery duration, or demanding late-game rooms. Quoting one person's launch impressions would not produce a dependable performance profile.
Start with the default profile. If you choose to cap frame rate for battery life, treat it as a personal tradeoff rather than a required fix. Until several tests publish comparable settings and scenes, this guide will not claim an ideal TDP or battery figure.
External displays and ultrawide
The developer discussed ultrawide support before launch and said 21:9 would require significant work and testing, with a possible post-launch update. That was a plan, not confirmation that the launch build supports 21:9 or 32:9.
Deck's own 16:10 display is a different question from desktop ultrawide. Verified status covers the handheld presentation, while the ultrawide thread concerns much wider external displays. If you dock the Deck to a 21:9 monitor, assume native ultrawide remains unverified unless the game's current settings or a new patch note says otherwise.
A five-minute setup check
Launch once on the Deck, confirm the controller glyphs match your inputs, open the options menu, and verify that Steam Cloud shows as synchronized before moving between devices. If you use a mouse, bind actions in the controls menu but expect to navigate menus without a mouse cursor.
Do not spend time chasing missing vibration at launch. That absence is documented by the developer. If a future update adds it, check for an in-game strength or disable option, since one player specifically raised accessibility concerns about strong vibration.
- Steam Deck status: Verified.
- Controller support: full, including DualShock and DualSense listings.
- Steam Cloud: listed on the store.
- Vibration: not implemented at the latest developer reply.
- Ultrawide external display support: planned language only, currently unverified.
